Vintage Brass Slipper Candles - Set of 3

A little piece of folklore, reborn in wax.

These enchanting vintage brass slippers - known variously as Indian brass slippers, genie slippers or Aladdin slippers - have been given a second life as hand-poured unscented candles. Each one is a genuine vintage find, carrying the warm patina and slight tarnish that only age can give. No two sets are identical.

Sold as a set of three (two pointed, one rounded), they make a beautifully eclectic display - on a windowsill, mantelpiece, or gathered on a tray with other curios.

The Vessels

Crafted from brass and measuring approximately 8-9cm in length and 3-4cm in width, these slippers were originally made as ashtrays, which means each one features a neat little groove along the rim, a charming functional detail that adds to their character. Once your candle has burned down, that groove comes into its own again: rest an incense stick, a ring, or a delicate chain in it, or use the slipper itself as a tiny dish for jewellery and trinkets.

The Wax

Each slipper is filled with our signature blend of soy, coconut and rapeseed wax - a natural, clean-burning combination. The fragrance is unscented, letting the vessels speak for themselves. As with any small vessel candle, burn time is modest (think tealight territory), so these are best enjoyed as an atmospheric accent rather than a long-burn candle.

After the Flame

Clean out any remaining wax with warm water and repurpose your slippers as jewellery dishes, trinket holders, or ashtrays. They're too lovely to throw away, which is exactly why we rescued them in the first place.

Due to the vintage nature of these vessels, tarnishing, patina and minor variations are part of their charm and should be expected. Measurements are approximate.
