The name KOIVU|SIRO is bilingual and comes from Finnish words "koivu" meaning birch, the national tree of Finland and "siro", meaning something light or slim, but in Japanese language siro gives a meaning of colour white, which symbolises purity. As the company name, the idea of our design products is to promote the beauty of Finnish nature and to pursue sustainability in the design industry.
