Nar Collection draws inspiration from traditional Persian calligraphy and the formal qualities of the nastaliq script. For this collection of jewelry and accessories, Nar Collection has focused on the form of the noghteh (dot). Sufis believe that the noghteh is the essence of life and that the world was created around this simple, but necessary form. Inspired by the poem The Conference of the Birds by the Sufi poet Farid ud-Din Attar, Safoura uses the noghteh metaphorically to symbolize the many birds who come together to create the legendary simorgh (literally “thirty birds”): as she explains “all noghteh (dots) become one noghteh.”
