Repurposed Vintage Indian Brass Peacock Bowl Candle
A wide, shallow Indian brass bowl on a footed base, its exterior covered in fine hand-engraved scrollwork filled with painted detail - peacocks in blue and pink set against a dark ground, their tail feathers fanning out across the surface. The scalloped rim runs all the way around.
The interior is equally striking. Once the wax has burned away, a full peacock scene is revealed - a large central bird with a fanned red and gold tail, surrounded by smaller peacocks and dense botanical scrollwork across the base. It is worth burning this one down just to see it.
Hand-poured with Soft Sandalwood - warm, creamy and quietly grounding, with notes of sandalwood, bergamot, saffron, cinnamon and lily over a base of cedarwood, amber, patchouli and coconut.
Three cotton wicks give an even burn across the surface. At 10cm across and 3cm deep, this is a shallower vessel with a more modest amount of wax - part of its appeal is the reveal as it burns.
Once the candle has gone, the bowl works beautifully as a trinket dish, a ring holder, or simply as something to look at.
Hand-poured in England using our natural soy, coconut and rapeseed wax blend. Phthalate-free fragrance. Vegan and cruelty-free. Every order plants a tree and removes ocean plastic.
