Vintage Carved Soapstone Pot Candle

A small carved soapstone pot from India, iworked with overlapping leaf and petal forms in deep relief, the fitted lid carved in a matching floral pattern. The stone is a rich olive-green with dark natural variation running through it. 

It has been hand-poured with Soft Sandalwood - warm, creamy and quietly grounding, with notes of sandalwood, bergamot, saffron, cinnamon and lily over a base of cedarwood, amber, patchouli and coconut. A fragrance that suits the earthiness of the stone without competing with it.

This is a small candle with a modest amount of wax and a short burn time - it is offered primarily as a keepsake piece rather than a long-burning candle. The lid can be set aside while burning and replaced between uses to protect the wax.

Once the candle has burned down, the pot is yours to keep. Use it on a dressing table, a windowsill, or wherever small beautiful things belong.
