Interview with London Accessory Week exhibitor DÁNAMOR| London Accessory Week by X Terrace
"DÁNAMOR is a brand of handmade bags, accessories and decorative objects, unique and different, with carved and/or pyrographed wood as the main element. "
Tell us a little about you and your brand. Who are you, and what products do you design for your brand?
My name is Paloma F. Andreu, I am a Spanish craftswoman specialising in woodwork and design. My workshop is located in the city of Burgos, famous for its gothic cathedral, which celebrated its eighth centenary in 2021. As a designer for the brand DÁNAMOR I started creating bags and accessories. I work with different techniques, all of them handmade, such as carving, pyrography, pattern making, sewing, painting... Recently, I have expanded my product catalogue with a line of decorative objects.
What are your sources of inspiration?
I am an enthusiast of fine arts such as painting, sculpture, architecture, cinema or music, I love nature and animals, I enjoy colours and all their chromatic ranges and all this serves me as inspiration for my creations. My desire is to create beautiful objects with a practical use.
How would you describe your design/product concept?
In my designs, I pay attention to the shape, colour, fabrics and choice of materials. As a great defender of nature, I mainly use materials of sustainable origin that respect the environment, for example, the wood comes from companies with ecological certification and the "SENDA" collection is made with ecological vegetable fabric.
Who is the target audience for your products?
DÁNAMOR products are designed for all those who love beautiful objects and for those that pay attention to detail when choosing their wardrobe and accessories for every day and all occasions.

What's the proudest moment in your accessory brand owner career? What makes you a happy creator?
An important moment in my artistic career was in 2019 when I was a finalist for best handbag design at the Model Awards. However, what makes me happy as a designer is the creative process, when little by little you manage to materialise what you imagined and it is received so well by your clients.
What is your accessory styling advice for your clients?
Accessories are very personal objects and without a doubt they define the personality of the person who wears them, so my only advice is “wear what really identifies you”.
Which of your designs is your favourite? Can you tell us the story behind it?
Just as a parent can't choose just one of his children, I can't choose just one design. However, I can say that I like bags that have different ways of carrying them, because I think they offer the user more functionality.
